Something New...

I got an idea today to change my blogging up a little bit. I've decided to start blogging about Black Women. I want to talk about our views, our beliefs and just talk shit about current events and how it effects the black women in the world today.

Shout out to Sandra Rose at www.sandrarose.com. Even though I hardly ever agree with her personal views she's still managed to create a mature audience. Her blog is the only blog that I take the time to post comments at.

Topic for the day for:

Where are our African American women leaders? Who do we have that's out there speaking for us? Is it the female rappers? It can't be Jackie O, Khia or Lil Kim does not represent who I am. Is it Oprah? I don't think so. Then who do we have? What AA woman is out there that can be called on when we're being disrespected? I'd love to see a AA woman standing next to Al Sharpton to represent us!

Let me know what you think.

Keyshia Coles Show Season 2

I absolutely love this show! It's crazy because I was never a Keyshia Coles fan until I've started watching her show especially this second season. I've had her new CD for a minute and I hadn't listened to it until I watched the show last week. Now I can't stop playing that CD.

I have read so many negative things about her as far as her attitude and stuff but after seeing the show I totally understand her now. This girl has been through so much so it's a natural thing for her to constantly be on guard, that girl ain't thinking about being friendly, she's just thinking about surviving. I love the fact that her show is so real. I watched the second episode of season 2 last night and I was touched, I had tears in my eyes the whole time. I even called my mother this morning and suggested to her that she needs call around some places in Baltimore and do some volunteering work at a non profit organization, my mother has been through a whole lot and she's always done the best that she could for me and brother I feel like it was be very good for her to give back to the community. I'm in the process of applying for my 501c's right now to start a organization here in Atlanta.

Black Women

I was thinking today about Karrine Stephens and the fact that she is now the focus of the "black woman" and what we are suppose to represent. Somehow we're suppose to see the positive in this chick and grow up striving to be like her. Don't kill the messenger, I'm just quoting what I'd read on line recently. LOL!

The only conclusion that I have been able come to is that times have changed. Why is the fact that she sleeps with stars in order to have a story to tell in her bestselling books considered greatness? Where I'm from your called a whole lot of names for being so easy and role model was never one of them. I'm 30 years old so I'm way past the looking for a role model days but it's very sad that this chick and others like her are what young black women have to look up to. She was on Oprah (yes, the same Oprah that refused to have Ice Cube on her show) talking about how she wants to be a testimony for all the young women in the world but yet a year or so later she's brought out another book telling stories of her conquest. Boooooooo!!!!!! I actually read her first book in a day but I didn't bother reading the 2nd one because I don't know anybody that bought the book so I haven't been able to borrow it from anybody. I'm not supporting that chick by buying that book with my hard earned money, I wish I could get it on bootleg instead and give the bootleg dude my money. LOL.

I'm not judgemental at all. I don't knock anybody's hustle. I never have, by all means get money BUT I don't want to see the tears later when your trying to figure out why you keep spreading your legs for money and yet you get no respect at all. I don't care what anybody says, Men DO NOT respect a chick that everybody has had, why would a dude wife a chick that's been with like 50 other dudes that he knows? It's NOT gonna happen. I don't care what he's whispering in your ear when your alone when he's around his boys they are clowning you! I have enough brothers, best male friends so I definitely know better. The craziest thing about Karrine to me is the fact that she's is honestly looking for love, her heart has been broken so many times by these industry dudes that are smashing her yet wifing somebody else. At this point she should know and understand her position. She is nothing but a jump-off! Nothing more, nothing less. If your gonna be a jump off then by all means be the best jump off that you can be but DON'T expect to be wifed, dude is not gonna hold your hand at the awards shows. LOL! I listen to her interviews, I've read some of her articles and I am constantly entertained, I read them just so I can quote them later when I'm discussing the ignorance of black women today. I need to be a motivational speaker to the young black female youth of today. I'd sit them down and teach what it means to be a real black women. Forget what they say on TV, mostly everybody in the industry is miserable anyway.

3 Teens Arrested That Jumped Teen at Six Flags

They have in the AJC today that three kids ahve been locked up for the beating of another teen at Six Flags bus stop back in July. The teen that was jumped and beaten so bad that he was in a coma for 10 days. They even had a show on the Ryan Cameron show about this. The mother was on there and she mentioned that there was a fund set up for her son for help with his medical bills through Bank Of America and it had a $0 balance. Where are our leaders at? What about our black mega churches? My job took up a collection to deposit into the fund for this kid. I know that's it's like being a single parent so I know that the $200 that we collected for them helped with something.

I'm so disappointed how we can go marching in Jena for the 6 kids that jumped one kid but when we're beating each other everybody is quiet. This is sad.
